This Has To Be A Joke: SEC About To Blame Entire Flash Crash On Waddell And Reed's E-Mini Trades

http://www.zerohedge.com/article/has-be-joke-sec-about-blame-entire-flash-crash-waddell-and-reeds-e-mini-trades

The competency of the SEC is astounding and never ceases to amaze me.
They obviously don't give a damn if "The People" know that their bought off, and they're going to milk that cow as long as they can.

Bloomberg has just released something which if true, will wipe out every last ounce of credibility left in the market. As readers will recall, the initial scapegoat that CNBC and everyone else, who has no clue what really happens in the market decided to pin the flash crash on, was small Kansas-based trading firm Waddell & Reed, which traded a few extra contracts of E-Mini futures in the hours preceding the flash crash. Well, ladies and gentlemen, if this advance glance into what the SEC is about to disclose in its flash crash report is indeed valid, then the entire flash crash is about to be blamed on Waddell and Reed once again, with no mention of High Frequency Trading, or any of the other real culprits for the drop which wiped out $1 trillion in market cap, and the furthermore the report will have no policy recommendations.

Florida coach suspended for doing the right thing

http://rivals.yahoo.com/highschool/blog/prep_rally/post/Florida-coach-suspended-for-taking-in-homeless-p?urn=highschool-273393

Only in America. You know the kid was really homeless, because they reinstated the coach.
So now just because he did the right thing the kid and the school gets punished.
I can't even begin to imagine how humiliating this whole thing is for that kid. Having his life published and being punished just because he's homeless.

By all indications, a Florida high school football coach was just trying to do the right thing when he allowed a homeless player to live with him. Now that coach and his school are facing fines that could reach into the thousands of dollars -- and potential forfeiture of victories -- because of the player's housing arrangements.

New York to change street signs for $27 million

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/8035062/New-York-to-change-street-signs-for-27-million.html

The change you can believe in, and the costs that must be incurred by your State to do it.
I can't even find the sense in the reasoning given for it.
It's just another waste of money that the states don't already have.

New York’s capital-lettered street signs are to be replaced with new lower-cased versions, at a cost to the public of $27 million (£17 million).

City hall bosses are changing all 250,900 signs across New York, to comply with new guidelines introduced by Barack Obama’s government.

The Federal Highway Administration says the change should help prevent road accidents because lower-cased letters with wider spacing are easier to read, meaning drivers can keep their eyes on the road.

However, the costly change — which was opposed by New York and four other states

Introducing the new regulations, Ray LaHood, Mr Obama’s Transportation Secretary, said: “These new and updated standards will help make our nation’s roads and bridges safer for drivers, construction workers and pedestrians alike

Senator Franken Sends Letter To Bernanke, Bair And Holder Demanding Criminal Charges For All Responsible For Biggest Alleged Mortgage Fraud In History

http://www.zerohedge.com/article/senator-franken-sends-letter-bernanke-bair-and-holder-demanding-criminal-charges-all-respons

No wonder they didn't want Al on board. He's fiesty that's for sure.
This was to good to be true, except it is lol.
He also sent a copy to Elizabeth Warren as well as Obama

The biggest financial story which continues to get absolutely no mention on CNBC just got its latest multi-step escalation: Senator Al Franken has just blasted a letter to Tim Geithner, Shaun Donovan, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Eric Holder, John Walsh, Controller of the Currency, Sheila Bair, and, drumroll, Ben Bernanke, telling the recipients that "each of your agencies has an important role to play in addressing this egregious situation and holding all appropriate actors fully accountable. As such, I respectfully request that you collaborate to conduct a thorough investigation into the alleged misconduct. As part of this investigation, it is crucial that Ally and its employees are held fully accountable for any criminal misconduct." Since if this pervasive mortgage fraud is more than just alleged, the stink will reach to the very top of places like JP Morgan, Ally, and possibly every single bank that has been in the mortgage origination business, something tells us that Ben Bernanke, whose job is precisely to protect the banks' interests will not rush into any investigation for the duration of FASB's existence. It gets better: "Additionally, all homeowners who may have experienced illegitimate foreclosure sales, those who have been forced to defend against illegitimate foreclosure actions, and those who have been harmed must be identified. These individuals must receive proper restitution and compensation, as provided for under the law." And the punchline: "It is critical to confirm that no loans provided through the FHA or in conjunction with the HAMP program were associated with Ally's misconduct." Yes, oddly enough the government is about to lose even more credibility once it is discovered that it worked in collaboration with the biggest mortgage fraud scheme in history.

The letter concludes:

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Special-Report-The-ties-that-rb-4283089889.html?x=0&sec=topStories&pos=4&asset=&ccode=

The friends of the FED just took on a whole new meaning, TARP does to for that matter.
Does Wall Street realise this occurs? They make such a big deal about the FMOC lol and now it comes out that many others have already have already had a sizable head start on that information in which to work with.
Talk about a corrupt setup. Any other company that pulled this would be busted for insider trading.
Doesn't knowing this just make those congressional hearings a big fat joke paid for off the expense of the taxpayer.
Isn't it funny how Hank Paulson never mentioned this bazooka hidden in his pants?
Now it's time to definitely end the FED.

To the outside world, the Federal Reserve is an impenetrable fortress. But former employees and big investors are privy to some of its secrets -- and that access can be lucrative.

On August 19, just nine days after the U.S. central bank surprised financial markets by deciding to buy more bonds to support a flagging economy, former Fed governor Larry Meyer sent a note to clients of his consulting firm with a breakdown of the policy-setting meeting.

The minutes from that same gathering of the powerful Federal Open Market Committee, or FOMC, are made available to the public -- but only after a three-week lag. So Meyer's clients were provided with a glimpse into what the Fed was thinking well ahead of other investors.

ORANGE BEACH – Drilling for oil on Alabama beaches. “We’re looking for sub surface oil,” says team leader Jason Howes with Polaris Applied Sciences. His team is drilling for oil and finding it.

“We start at the low water line and work up beyond the high tide line into the back shore. Over the crest of the berm is where we find some real thick accumulations,” says Howes.

Curiosity got the best of a family vacationing from Kentucky. “We were just wondering what in the world they were doing and they were cordial [possibly 'core drilling'] and were trying to find out how deep the oil had gone.” At first glance Jimmy Blackwell says he would not think there was any oil here. “You walk out here and you wouldn’t have no idea what’s going on. Army to investigate claims about man portrayed as ringleader in Afghan war-crimes case

The art of the "Thrill Kill".
How strange is it that about the time that the 'meat" of this story comes to the attention of the American public, Fort Hood has 4 suicides in the same week.
Is anybody really surprised that there is intentional murder occurring, when it's so widely known throught the military that this war was created for Corporate profit.
The message drilled home by a "War for Profit" is that the value of human life means nothing.

Other soldiers, in statements to Army criminal investigators, have portrayed Gibbs as the ringleader of the group that carried out the killings and other crimes, including beating one fellow soldier believed to be a drug informant. The investigation has resulted in charges against a dozen soldiers from the 5th Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, at Lewis-McChord.

JPMorgan Suspending Foreclosures

So if they have been doing it wrong now, what have they been doing for the past 3 years?
It's called foreclosing on homes you don't hold a title for....in other words.....FRAUD.
There are millions of homes that have been processed for foreclosure in the past in this very same manner.
Ladies and Gentleman this is a very wide spread Corporate crime that entails millions of victims.
The punitive damages alone should bust this bank and many more like them.
It takes alot of audacity to take taxpayer funding to keep your doors open from the bad bets of gambling habits and the commit fraud against them to reap even more.

JPMorgan Suspending ForeclosuresBy DAVID STREITFELD

In a sign that the entire foreclosure process is coming under pressure, a second major mortgage lender said that it was suspending court cases against defaulting homeowners so it could review its legal procedures.

The lender, JPMorgan Chase, said on Wednesday that it was halting 56,000 foreclosures because some of its employees might have improperly prepared the necessary documents. All of the suspensions are in the 23 states where foreclosures must be approved by a court, including New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida and Illinois.

A Bush rerun being pushed on the UK

If the "people" of the UK are smart, they will learn by America's mistakes.
This is the very same direction that America took because of the trust level they had in President Bush.
The advise was taken and look where we are now, a healthy economy cannot be sustained on consumerism, because the moral to that story is, the money runs out.

Bank of England deputy Charlie Bean says spend, spend to save economy Interest rates are being held down to discourage savers, financial chief admits

Britons should go out and spend to help invigorate the UK's economic recovery, the deputy governor of the Bank of England has urged. In unusually unguarded comments for a banker, Charlie Bean yesterday discouraged people from building up cash savings which generate little income due to historically low interest rates.

Bean, who sits on the Bank's monetary policy committee that set the base interest rate, admitted it was being held down in the hope families would use their cash and thereby help reflate the economy.

Low interest rates could persist for several years, he said. They have been at 0.5% for a year and a half. The next monthly rate-setting decision is due next week.

The record low rates help mortgage-holders, particularly on tracker deals, but make life difficult for people who rely on income from savings, many of whom are pensioners.

The administration has endorsed an Iraqi request for 18 new F-16 aircraft for Baghdad's Air Force, Middle East Newsline reported. Officials said the Defense Department has notified Congress of the proposed sale, estimated at $4.2 billion.

More contractors than troops killed in war zones this year

http://www.worldtribune.com/worldtribune/WTARC/2010/me_iraq0953_09_29.asp

Sounds bizarre doesn't it, but it also tells the truth of the American war tale. The taxpayer is footing the bill not so much for our own troops but for the private payment of the corporate foot soldier.
It's definitely time to see a break down on where all the money is going for the DoD.
Never before have our troops received the maid service that corporate America has so kindly been contracted to provide.
The big what if: if the perks of having the security provided by the corporate foot soldier were rescinded, would our military still know how to function?

WASHINGTON — U.S. private contractors have been killed at a faster rate than American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.

A report said the deaths of private contractors in Afghanistan and Iraq have exceeded those of American soldiers in 2010. The report by ProPublica said this marked the first time in history that private employees have been dying at a faster rate than the soldiers of the U.S. military that contracted the civilians

Why Be A Market Maker When You Can Just Be A HFT Scalper?

http://www.zerohedge.com/article/why-be-market-maker-when-you-can-just-be-hft-scalper

The average American needs to be fully aware of just how rigged the Wall Street range is.
My advice keep your money in your pocket and don't even go there, you have better odds of winning in Vegas.

The cannibalization of profits courtesy of HFT means very soon everyone will be an HFT! And when that happens, virtually everyone will be on the same side of the trade, until there is a regime change and everyone rushes to the other side, which according to many is precisely what happened on May 6, when the market went bidless. So yes, this is exactly what will happen once again, as more and more of Wall Street realizes that this last loophole to eeking out a few extra pennies per trade is the only place to be. What happens next is anyone's guess, although as the following guest post from Wall St. Cheat Sheet explains, it won't be pretty.

Haiti Still Waiting for Pledged US Aid

http://www.aolnews.com/world/article/haiti-still-waiting-for-pledged-us-aid/19653464?ncid=webmail

Makes that world wide stove program that Hilary gave 500 million to look very ridiculous doesn't it? How much have we given and are still giving other countries to fight the "War on Terror".
Are you ashamed to be represented by this type of government yet?
Because there is nothing to be seen to be proud of here.
It's just damned down right embarrassing

Nearly nine months after the earthquake, more than a million Haitians still live on the streets between piles of rubble. One reason: Not a cent of the $1.15 billion the U.S. promised for rebuilding has arrived.

Nor is Haiti getting much from other donors. Some 50 other nations and organizations pledged a total of $8.75 billion for reconstruction, but just $686 million of that has reached Haiti so far - less than 15 percent of the total promised for 2010-11.

Lawmakers ask White House to stop DHS financial system

http://www.nextgov.com/nextgov/ng_20100924_7678.php?oref=mostread

WHY? Because their buddies in the military industrial complex might get caught double dipping for the same contract.

House Democrats this month went over the heads of Homeland Security Department officials and appealed directly to the White House to cancel a financial management system project that could cost as much as $1 billion.

DHS plans to award a contract this year for consolidating the financial management networks at component agencies such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency and Immigration and Customs Enforcement into one megasystem. House Judiciary Committee leaders have questioned for months whether the effort violates a White House order issued on June 28 to halt the development of all financial systems governmentwide so that departments can rework the historically troubled modernizations to avoid wasting billions of dollars.

Financial systems are intended to gather daily financial transaction data that take place throughout departments so that agencies can produce a set of statements that can be independently audited, officials at the Office of Management and Budget recently said.

TECHNOLOGY AND THE BUSINESS OF GOVERNMENT

http://www.nextgov.com/nextgov/ng_20100923_1521.php?oref=mostread

War is big business and this is going to go a long way in helping out to make up the profit that is being lost by these companies because the American consumer can no longer afford to buy their products.

Army looks to Kindles, iPads and smart phones for the battlefield

The Army is testing this month some popular consumer technology products, including smart phones, Kindle e-book readers and iPad tablet computers, to see how they work on the battlefield.

The tech gadgets rely on a never-ending supply of energy, so the service also is experimenting with alternative power sources such as fuel cells and solar panels, said Mike McCarthy, director of the mission command complex of the Future Force Integration Directorate at Fort Bliss in Texas.

The consumer products will not replace standard systems such as the broadband radios the Army is testing at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.

McCarthy bought a Kindle, six Apple iPads and an Entourage Edge, which incorporates an e-book reader and a tablet into a dual-screen computer, to see how the retail products could be used on the battlefield. He said the devices could serve as electronic manuals for Army standard battlefield systems, including broadband radios and unmanned sensors systems.

Currently, soldiers use printed manuals. Every time a system is reprogrammed or revised, the Army has to print new instructions to distribute to soldiers. But the service could easily update the e-manuals and push the changes out instantly over a network, McCarthy said.

Combat networks in the future could include battlefield cellular systems, and the Army is using Nextel's cellular service, a division of Sprint, to blanket the 350 square miles where testing is taking place at White Sands.

Since it might not have access to commercial cellular networks in combat, the Army plans to test later this year the Monax wireless network Lockheed Martin Corp. manufactures, which supports smart-phone operations over military networks.

The integration directorate also will test short-range cellular systems xG Technology Inc. developed

Investors, Regulators Laid Path to 'Flash Crash'

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000...LEFTTopStories

Has anyone who makes or breaks set in place regulations ever thought about the future consequences of what they're doing? Because it doesn't seem to me as if the thought has ever entered their mind.

As the Securities and Exchange Commission finalizes its report on the May 6 "flash crash," it is being forced to confront the fallout of its own decisions—which Wall Street sought and cheered—that ushered in an era of fast trading dispersed across dozens of venues.

But the flash crash, he says, shows there have been "huge, unintended consequences."

'Credible But Not Specific' Threat of New Terrorist Attack

http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/us-credible-specific-threat-terrorist-attack/story?id=11747364

All because a "Suspected" German terrorist was going to Europe this summer. How convenient is it that he's being held in Afghanistan, where no one else can come into contact with him to ask him just exactly how this information was obtained from him. For having only 50 people Al Qaeda sure gets around don't they?

US and European officials said Tuesday they have detected a plot to carry out a major, coordinated series of commando-style terror attacks in Britain, France, Germany and possibly the United States.

A senior US official said that while there is a "credible" threat, no specific time or place is known. President Obama has been briefed about the threat, say senior US officials.

Anti-austerity protests sweep across Europe

http://apnews.myway.com/article/20100929/D9IHHDTO3.html

Europe is ablaze with anger, as should Americans be to, but conveniently another suspect terror plot has place the country on high alert to divert the attention from what is so obvious that American should also do.

BRUSSELS (AP) - Anti-austerity protests erupted across Europe on Wednesday - Greek doctors and railway employees walked out, Spanish workers shut down trains and buses, and one man even blocked the Irish parliament with a cement truck to decry the country's enormous bank bailouts.

Tens of thousands of demonstrators poured into Brussels, hoping to swell into a 100,000-strong march on European Union institutions later in the day and reinforce the impact of Spain's first nationwide strike in eight years.

All the actions sought to protest the budget-slashing, tax-hiking, pension-cutting austerity plans of European governments seeking to control their debt.

In an ironic twist, the march in Brussels comes just as the EU Commission is proposing to punish member states that have run up deficits to fund social programs in a time of high unemployment across the continent

Hackers find their way into cars on-board computer systems

Another fine feature of technological advancement that leaves the buyer vulnerable to attack.

It could be called a new type of car-jacking. It's car-hacking and it involves the computing power under the hood of your car.

With the complexity of the computer systems and logic in your automobile comes a potential for hacking.

Could someone take control of your car to steal it, cause the driver harm, convince the driver to pull over for "urgent maintenance" or ruin the car? According to some experts, the answer is yes.

Another technical advancement that further adds to the ranks of the unemployed as well as depletes the sources to choose from.

It has always been tough for literary fiction writers to get their work published by the top publishing houses. But the digital revolution that is disrupting the economic model of the book industry is having an outsize impact on the careers of literary writers.

Austerity whips up anger, protests mount in Europe

http://sg.news.yahoo.com/afp/20100928/tts-eu-economy-strike-labour-social-c1b2fc3.html

America needs to make a coordinated effort along with the residents of the EU and make their voice heard regarding the same problems.
Austerity measures being taken or proposed is a world wide problem, and what's being proposed has become painfully unacceptable for the common man due to no fault of there own, but rather forced upon them by their governments having dealt with the Central Banks.

Painful cuts by overspending EU countries come head to a head with mounting social anger on Wednesday when labour leaders call angry workers onto streets right across the continent.

Set for its largest Europe-wide protest for a decade is Brussels where labour leaders are planning to bring 100,000 people from 30 countries to say "No to austerity!"

The protest, the biggest such march since 2001 when 80,000 people spilled into the EU capital, is being held to coincide with a plan to fine governments running up deficits.

Detailed proposals are due to be released that day by the 27-nation bloc's executive arm, the European Commission, with the continent's finance ministers also gathering in Brussels this week.

Jobless told they owe money to the ESC

There ain't nothing like kicking a dog when it's down is there?

Thousands of long-term unemployed North Carolinians could soon owe the state money because the Employment Security Commission improperly made about $28 million in payments over the last two years.

Last week, the ESC began sending out letters to about 38,000 people who it has determined were either overpaid or underpaid through no fault of their own.

Recipients, all of whom received unemployment benefits for a year or longer, are getting anywhere from one to six letters depending on the number of times their benefits have been extended.

The final letter has the correct amount due, but the letters often aren't arriving in the right order. The letters also tell people they can apply for a waiver to have the overpayment forgiven

Some of us feel that our objections have not been properly heard, and really feel that having your sculpture on display would add an exceptional volume to our voice, that could not be obviously missed.
Thank you for your kind consideration, as I'm sure that "WE" are not the only country asking to display this fine work of art.

Power outage kills 60,000 NC farm chickens

http://www.wistv.com/Global/story.asp?S=13211550

The power has to be only off for a few minutes and the chickens die from the heat.
They're packed in like sardines, it saves money except when the power goes out.

CLEVELAND COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - Workers are trying to clean up and bury thousands of chickens who were killed during a power outage at a farm in Cleveland County.

Up to 60,000 chickens have died at Greenway Farms on McCraw Road.

Officials say the owner was using a generator connected to large fans in the chicken houses which experienced some sort of power outage.

The large fans help pull air through the building to keep the temperature down. When they're not working, if only for a few minutes, it can cause the chickens to die from the heat.

Navy Pilots Caught On Camera Grounded Over Lake Stunt

http://www.10news.com/news/25143106/detail.html

Oh yeah this little stunt was worth paying big bucks for.
Another fine example of crap the taxpayer is responsible to pay for.

Two Navy helicopter pilots from North Island Naval Air Station have been grounded over a YouTube video that allegedly shows them dipping the $33 million aircrafts into Lake Tahoe.

In the video taken Sept. 13, both helicopters hit the water and one seems to spin out of control and crash into the water before its pilot apparently pulls the craft back into the air.

A Navy spokesman confirmed that the video was genuine footage of two MH- 60 Romeo helicopters from North Island's Helicopter Maritime Strike 41 squadron, The San Diego Union-Tribune reported

Damage to the helicopters was estimated at between $50,000 and $500,000, according to the newspaper, which reported that the grounded pilots had to land at Lake Tahoe Airport following the incident and a different set of pilots eventually flew the helicopters home.

Buffett to taxpayers: Get over your anger

Well Warren, I suppose "WE" would get over it, if companies like yours (Wells Fargo) weren't benefiting from all those necessary measures that the government is plying, and that the "Taxpayer" is responsible for paying back.
You see it as a recession Warren, just a little setback for the timing of your game plans, but the average American views it as a depression, with little or no hope at all of climbing back out of.
Warren why don't you help alay America's fears and give all your worldly gain to help pay off the National Debt?
Maybe then the country could start to "Get over it"

Taxpayer anger against President Barack Obama and Congress is counterproductive because policy makers took measures including deficit spending to stimulate the economy, billionaire investor Warren Buffett told CNBC.

“Sentiment has turned very sour in the last three or four or five months,” the chairman and CEO of Omaha-based Berkshire Hathaway Inc. said in an interview broadcast Thursday.

“I hope we get over it pretty soon, because it’s not productive,’’ Buffett said. “We will come back regardless of how people feel about Washington, but it is not helpful to have people as unhappy as they are about what’s going on in Washington.”

Make sure you read the first comment, the example given in it shows the extent of just how screwed up the Banks have left the mortgage industry in.

They are called robo-signers, putting their names on thousands of documents tied to mortgages facing foreclosure. Now, under pressure from borrowers, banks are halting foreclosures where the documents are signed by these employees.

This week, mortgage-servicing giant GMAC Mortgage Co. halted foreclosures in 23 states due to questions about documents signed by one of its robo-signers, Jeffrey Stephan.

Until now, Mr. Stephan was an anonymous middle manager whose job is to sign affidavits, assignments of mortgages and other documents that establish a bank's ownership of a mortgage, thus giving the bank the right to foreclose.

But, as revelations come to light about how Mr. Stephan and other robo-signers do their jobs, a picture is emerging of a foreclosure process that critics say is just as flawed as the lax lending and perverse incentives that created the lending crisis.

In two sworn depositions given by Mr. Stephan over the last 10 months, he said that assistants brought as many as 500 documents a day to this desk at GMAC's office in Fort Washington, Pa. Some months, he would sign more than 10,000 documents related to home foreclosures. By signing the documents, he was stating that he had personally reviewed the details of each case.

The problem is, according to depositions Mr. Stephan gave in December and June, he didn't really look at each case. In fact, he assumed that all the details were correct, and just signed off on each one.

Clinton to unveil US funds for clean cookstove push

http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/N20177469.htm

So where are these people going to plug these stoves in at?
It really sounds to me like Hillary is trying to help a friend out who owns an appliance company.
More of the same bullshit waste of money that we don't have.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will announce on Tuesday a U.S. contribution of more than $50 million toward providing clean cooking stoves in developing countries to reduce deaths from smoke inhalation and fight climate change.

The U.S. funding, which will be spread over five years, is part of a Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves being started to combat a problem officials equate with malaria and unclean water in terms of their health impact worldwide.

Some 1.9 million premature deaths, mostly among women and young children, occur every year due to smoke inhalation from rudimentary stoves, which in many cases consist of a few stones and an open fire inside or outside a shelter, officials said.

GMAC Halts All Foreclosures In 23 States On Heels Of Florida Judge Finding JPM Committed Court Fraud In Mortgage Misappropriation

http://www.zerohedge.com/article/gmac-halts-all-foreclosures-23-states-heels-florida-judge-finding-jpm-committed-court-fraud-

Uh Oh, looks like the shit is really going to hit the fan for the banks.
Just think about all those foreclosures that they've already done
You can't legally sell or foreclose on what you don't own.

As we pointed out last week, a certain judge in Florida set quite a precedent when he found that JPM, as servicer for a Fannie mortgage, had committed court fraud by foreclosing while not in possession of the actual mortgage. We then concluded that "The implications for the REO and foreclosures track for banks could be dire as a result of this ruling, as this could severely impact the ongoing attempt by banks to hide as much excess inventory in their books in the quietest way possible." Not a week has passed since, and we are already proven right. Today, Bloomberg discloses that GMAC Mortgage, a unit of the affectionately renamed Ally Bank, has halted all foreclosures in 23 states, including Florida, Connecticut and New York. Who would have thought that being caught with your pants down, doing something so blatantly illegal as collecting on something you do not own, would actually have adverse consequences. And GMAC is just the beginning - we expect many more mortgage servicers to scurry now that the light has been shone on their shell game. The silver lining - the permabull pundits will cheer this development now that foreclosures will plunge off a cliff as mortgage holders and servicers scramble to reconcile who owns what, and just on whose balance sheet the mortgage flows should show up.

From Bloomberg:

GMAC Mortgage may “need to take corrective action in connection with some foreclosures” in the affected states, according to a two-page memo dated Sept. 17 and obtained by Bloomberg News. Ally Financial spokesman James Olecki confirmed the contents of the memo. Brokers were told to stop evictions, cash-for-key transactions and lockouts, regardless of occupant type, with immediate effect, according to the document, addressed to GMAC preferred agents.

The company will also suspend sales of properties on which it has already foreclosed. The letter tells brokers to notify buyers that the company will extend the closing date on all sales by 30 days. Buyers will be able to cancel their agreement to purchase and get their deposit back, according to the letter.

Expect panic out of the banking crime syndicate once this story hits the MSM.

Navy to test its ability to vaccinate masses in a pandemic

http://hamptonroads.com/2010/09/navy-test-its-ability-vaccinate-masses-pandemic

An exercise in vaccinating the masses, so that companies like Glaxosmithkline can reap a large profit from the mandatory demand ordered out of fear by our so called elected officials, when Corporate America tells them to do so.

It may be part of an exercise, but have no doubt: The needles in this simulated pandemic flu scenario are real. And so are the deltoids of thousands of sailors to be immunized in coming days as part of a test of the Navy's capacity to "surge" huge quantities of vaccines to its work force.

Every military exercise gets a name, typically by shortening key words and condensing the spaces between them. The first phase of PANFLUEX - short for pandemic flu exercise - begins today, when nurses and corpsmen from Portsmouth Naval Medical Center will fan out to local military medical clinics. Their goal is to vaccinate about 6,000 "mission essential personnel" within 48 hours.

Boeing gets $89M to build unmanned aircraft that can stay aloft for 5 years

http://www.networkworld.com/community/node/66394

Oh look, product development for a little more CONSUMER debt, specifically developed for future sales by the United States Defense Department to be paid for by the taxpayers of every country that buys one to further their defences regarding the "War on Terror"
The "War on Terror" has been an exceptionally lucrative money maker due to the fear level index rise, after the initiation of 9/11.
Fear is the greatest psycological sell of all times.

One of the more unique unmanned aircraft took a giant step toward reality this week when the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) inked an agreement with Boeing to build the SolarEagle, a plane capable of remaining at heights over 60,000ft for over five years.

Boeing says the first SolarEagle under the $89 million contract could fly as early as 2014.

12 mad science projects that could shake the world

The SolarEagle is built under DARPA's Vulture program. The idea is to build a single aircraft that could support traditional intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance functions over country-sized areas - while at the same time providing an unblinking eye over a critical target, monitoring that target night and day, day in and day out, month after month - providing unprecedented high-value intelligence. Vulture aircraft will also be able to provide communications capabilities available today only from geostationary satellites - offering opportunities for new, more flexible, expandable and relocatable communication architectures at a fraction of the cost of dedicated satellite capabilities. The challenges with Vulture include developing solar cell, energy storage, and reliability technologies that will allow the aircraft to operate continuously, unrefueled for over 44,000 hours, DARPA stated.

Under the Vulture II agreement, Boeing will develop a full-scale flight demonstrator, including maturation of the critical power system and structures technologies. Key suppliers for the program include Versa Power Systems and QinetiQ.

Bomb-plot witness says FBI sent him to Terrorist camp.

Sept. 16 (Bloomberg) -- The confidential informant at the center of the case against four men accused of plotting to bomb New York City synagogues testified that the Federal Bureau of Investigation sent him to Pakistan in 2008 to attend a terrorist training camp.

The informant, Shahed Hussain, told a jury in New York today he went to his native country in December of that year to meet someone at the camp. He didn't identify the organization running the camp or discuss the result of the investigation.

"Are you a terrorist?" defense lawyer Susanne Brody asked Hussain in cross-examination.

"No ma'am," he responded.

Hussain was testifying during the second day of cross- examination by Brody, a lawyer with the federal public defender's office who is representing defendant Onta Williams.

Defense attorneys have argued that their clients are the victims of entrapment, poor men enticed into the plot with the promise of cars, cash and food by Hussain.

MILLIONS of people will be given a secret swine flu jab by health bosses this winter.

http://www.blacklistednews.com/news-10606-0-6-6--.html

Source: News Of The World

MILLIONS of people will be given a secret swine flu jab by health bosses this winter.

The H1N1 vaccine will be mixed into the regular flu jab for OAPs, pregnant women and others at high risk.

While millions refused to take the jab during last winter's pandemic, this time they will have no choice if they want to be protected against normal flu.

The Government was left with more than 30million swine flu vaccines after the pandemic fizzled out in 2010.

Some types of swine flu vaccinations are suspected of being linked to an increase in the rare condition narcolepsy, which causes sufferers to suddenly fall asleep at random times.

In Finland, one brand - Pandemrix, produced by GlaxoSmithKline - was banned, and officials in Sweden have started a Europe-wide investigation into it.

An NHS spokesman said that while the pandemic of the H1N1 swine flu virus was over, the disease was still a threat.

The Department of Health said the Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Authority, which monitors vaccines, had given the H1N1 jab the all-clear after fears in Europe over the narcolepsy outbreak.

She added: "By March this year, that particular H1N1 vaccine had been given out 5.5million times and there have been no reported cases of narcolepsy in Britain."

The swine flu vaccine actually is for population control?

http://www.blacklistednews.com/news-10613-0-6-6--.html

The swine flu just happened to be sold as a World wide pandemic and they tried to make it mandatory for all of us to have to take it.
Every country's government bought and distributed this poison without question to it's unsuspecting population.
A global decision made by a global government.....specifically called The World Health Organization or the W.H.O.

Would you feel comfortable being injected with a vaccine that contains a substance that has been strongly linked to infertility? Well, if you take the Fluarix swine flu vaccine manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline or any of the other swine flu vaccines that contain Polysorbate 80 that is exactly what you will be doing. If you are considering getting the swine flu vaccine, or any other vaccine for that matter, perhaps you should educate yourself about EXACTLY what is in these vaccines before you allow them to be injected into your body.
Perhaps you think that linking the swine flu vaccine with infertility is quite a stretch. Well, let's take this one step at a time.

#1) Polysorbate 80 is in the Fluarix swine flu vaccine manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline according to the CDC. This is confirmed by the CDC in the document below.....

http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/pubs/pinkbook/downloads/appendices/B/excipient-table-2.pdf

#2) A medical study done in Slovakia injected newborn female rats with Tween 80 (Polysorbate 80). These newborn female rats were injected with Polysorbate 80 at days 4 to 7 after birth. The researchers found that Polysorbate 80 accelerated the maturation of the female rats, damaged the vagina and womb lining, caused significant hormonal changes, severe ovary deformities and ultimately rendered the young female rats infertile.

In fact, Dee Nicholson, the National Communications Director for Freedom in Canadian Health Care is not shy about saying that Polysorbate 80 is "linked to infertility in mice".

#3) In the package insert for Fluarix, GlaxoSmithKline specifically mentions that they cannot guarantee that their flu vaccine will not damage your fertility: "FLUARIX has not been evaluated for carcinogenic or mutagenic potential, or for impairment of fertility." Thanks to foolishly passed laws by the U.S. government, you will not be able to sue anyone if it does leave you infertile.

#4) GlaxoSmithKline is not alone in using Polysorbate 80. It is being reported that Novartis is using the adjuvant MF59 in its swine flu vaccine. The MF59 adjuvant contains Tween80 (Polysorbate 80) and squalene among other things.

#5) On the World Intellectual Property Organization, a patent application for a "fertility impairing vaccine". The University of Georgia Research Foundation is listed as the patent applicant.

In the description section of the patent application, Tween 80 (Polysorbate 80) is listed as a preferred ingredient:

"In a preferred embodiment the vaccine comprises oil, preferably a biodegradable oil such as squalene oil, in an amount of about 2.5% to about 15%, preferably about 8% to about 12%. In preparing the vaccine it is advantageous to combine a concentrated oily adjuvant composition with an aqueous solution of the antigen, pZP glycoprotein. Typically, the vaccine is prepared using an adjuvant concentrate which contains lecithin (about 5% to about 15 % wt/vol, preferably about 12% wt/vol) and STDCM (preferably about 25 mg/mL to about 50 mg/mL) in squalene oil. The term % wt/vol means grams per 100 mL of liquid. The aqueous solution containing the isolated pZP glycoprotein is typically a phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) solution, and additionally preferably contains Tween 80 (about 0.2% vol/vol to about 0.8% vol/vol, preferably about 0.4% vol/vol)."

#6) The United Nations is actively seeking ways to limit and control population growth around the globe. An incredibly shocking U.N. population division policy brief from March 2009 asked this very disturbing question:

What would it take to accelerate fertility decline in the least developed countries?

You can read this almost unbelievable document here:

http://www.un.org/esa/population/publications/UNPD_policybriefs/UNPD_policy_brief1.pdf

The reality is that for the super wealthy global elite and the majority of the social engineers at the United Nations, population control is a major obsession. If you doubt this fact, just read this article:

http://signsofthelastdays.com/archives/the-radical-population-control-and-eugenics-agenda-of-the-global-elite

The truth is that the more people learn about what is in these vaccines, the less likely they are to take them. It is important to do your own research before letting anyone inject anything into your body. Those who blindly trust the government or world health authorities are likely the ones to end up being extremely disappointed in the end.

UK Proposes All Paychecks Go to the State First

http://www.cnbc.com/id/39265847

Can you imagine this?
How big would a government have to get to handle this type of collection and disbursement.
Think weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly for all employers.
Now think of the bureaucracy that you would have to go through if there was a glitch and they didn't send you your cut of the paycheck.
If the company owned back taxes would they garnish YOUR paycheck to bring them under compliance?
"Pay as you earn" is definitely a little tell into how bad the UK's Government needs every drop of money it can get it's hands on.

The UK's tax collection agency is putting forth a proposal that all employers send employee paychecks to the government, after which the government would deduct what it deems as the appropriate tax and pay the employees by bank transfer.

Sharon Lorimer
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The proposal by Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) stresses the need for employers to provide real-time information to the government so that it can monitor all payments and make a better assessment of whether the correct tax is being paid.

Currently employers withhold tax and pay the government, providing information at the end of the year, a system know as Pay as You Earn (PAYE). There is no option for those employees to refuse withholding and individually file a tax return at the end of the year.

If the real-time information plan works, it further proposes that employers hand over employee salaries to the government first.

Coffman Introduces Federal Furlough Bill to Save Taxpayers $5.5 Billion

http://coffman.house.gov/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=355:september-16-2010-coffman-introduces-federal-furlough-bill-to-save-taxpayers-55-billion&catid=36:latest-news&Itemid=10

Oh welcome to the real world!
It would seem Coffman actually understands that we have a situation getting ready to blowup in our faces from excessive spending that we don't have.
I would think they would also start cutting out all of that fat that Congress has been use to sucking up to, such as excessive travel to, the booze bills, Nancy's private plane, and just off the top of my head.

Rep. Mike Coffman (R-CO) this week introduced a bill that would subject federal civilian employees to a two week furlough in 2011 and reduce salaries of members of Congress by 10 percent saving taxpayers more than $5.5 billion. The bill, H.R. 6134, is a one year measure to reduce federal spending and combat the unsustainable deficit spending in Washington.

Introducing his bill, Coffman remarked, “Currently, at least 24 states, and nearly three quarters of a million workers, are undertaking a budget-cutting maneuver that I believe we should institute at the federal level: short term employee furloughs. These states, across the nation, along with city and county government counterparts, recognize that occasional worker furloughs are necessary to cut budgets and hold down spending. It also has the benefit of ensuring that federal workers are not sheltered from the realities of life in today’s economy.”

Missouri Tells Judges Cost of Sentences

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/09/19/us/19judges.html?_r=1&src=me&ref=homepage

ST. LOUIS — When judges here sentence convicted criminals, a new and unusual variable is available for them to consider: what a given punishment will cost the State of Missouri.

Enlarge This Image

.Supreme Court of Missouri
Judge Michael A. Wolff
For someone convicted of endangering the welfare of a child, for instance, a judge might now learn that a three-year prison sentence would run more than $37,000 while probation would cost $6,770. A second-degree robber, a judge could be told, would carry a price tag of less than $9,000 for five years of intensive probation, but more than $50,000 for a comparable prison sentence and parole afterward. The bill for a murderer’s 30-year prison term: $504,690.

Legal experts say no other state systematically provides such information to judges, a practice put into effect here last month by the state’s sentencing advisory commission, an appointed board that offers guidance on criminal sentencing.

The practice has touched off a sharp debate. It has been lauded nationally by a disparate group of defense lawyers and fiscal conservatives, who consider it an overdue tool that will force judges to ponder alternatives to prison more seriously.

State's homeland security chief goes in hiding

http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/10260/1088164-454.stm

Oh look A perfect example of "Homeland Security gone wrong"
Spying on the taxpayer during legal protests and creating a data base of who attends.
It doesn't matter what kind of protests, because the circus was included in the list of hot spots to monitor.
And here's the best part: the taxpayer is footing the bill for his own persecution.
Believe it or not.
If you talk back, they take your name
Nazi Germany
Think about it.
The most interesting thing for me is though, once again Israel is involved in a taking of a piece of the Home Land Security pie.
The questions for all of us to really seriously ponder upon should actually be this:
Are the city and State I live in engaged in that very same kind of contract,
And how many other States out there actually do.

Friday, September 17, 2010
By Tom Barnes, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
HARRISBURG -- The former Special Forces colonel who has headed the state Office of Homeland Security for four years and who now finds himself at the center of a firestorm over an anti-terrorism contract is missing in action.

James F. Powers Jr. has basically gone underground since Tuesday, when Gov. Ed Rendell denounced a $103,000 no-bid contract that Mr. Powers had given to the Institute of Terrorism Research and Response, which has offices in Philadelphia and Israel.

The state news release in June 2006 said Mr. Powers' job would include coordinating the state's homeland security efforts with state agencies, counties, nine regional counter-terrorism forces and local municipalities.

Mr. Powers told the newspaper he entered into the deal with the Terrorism Institute because "my concern is public safety." He said there had been about "five or 10" incidents related to Pennsylvania's growing natural gas industry, including one where someone supposedly fired a shotgun at a tank of natural gas in Venango County.

Mr. Rendell said Tuesday that he wasn't aware of specifics about any other such violent incidents related to the gas industry. He said he was "appalled" and "terribly embarrassed" by the monitoring of lawful protests that the Terrorism Institute had done for the state.

Popular Asian spice can cure Alzheimer's disease

http://www.naturalnews.com/029767_turmeric_alzheimers.html

Natural is always better, and it can't hurt to try.
With in my own experience with turmeric, it helps to clear up all problems with the skin, including boils.

Nature is full of various herbs and spices that protect against disease and even treat and cure it. And according to Chris Kilham, an ethnobotanist and Fox News' "Medicine Hunter", turmeric root -- also known in its extract form as curcumin -- is one such powerful spice that appears to both prevent the onset of Alzheimer's disease and even cure it.

"People who develop Alzheimer's disease get a sticky plaque in the brain called amyloid beta," explained Kilham to Dr. Manny Alvarez in a recent Fox News interview. Such plaques either develop as a result of Alzheimer's, or they are the direct cause of it. But either way, they are directly related to the degenerative process.

However studies show that turmeric actually eliminates these plaques, both when they are first starting to form and even during the late stages of their advancement.

Suicide?
So the department of Homeland Security has either turned out to be a big joke or they just got an excuse to put a video camera in all public restrooms.

The sources said it was not immediately clear if the death was a suicide or a homicide.

[Updated at 12:30 p.m.: Los Angeles police said that a preliminary investigation indicates that the man in the restroom died from a possible suicide. They said the case has been turned over to the Los Angeles County Coroner to determine official cause of death

Reporter: Massive fishkill so thick looks like “a gravel road”

http://www.floridaoilspilllaw.com/reporter-massive-fishkill-so-thick-looks-like-a-gravel-road-no-testing-to-see-if-from-oil-spill-video/comment-page-1#comment-12813

Thousands of fish and a dead whale on Monday were found…

Plaquemines Parish President Billy Nungesser… said there is no testing going on to determine if it’s from the oil spill, although the northern Gulf of Mexico has suffered from a persistent dead zone of low oxygen, blamed on nutrient rich runoff from the Mississippi River.

Nungesser said this is different because usually the kills happen to only one or two species of fish.

Lookout! Government peering at you with X-rays on highway

http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=202853

No really, they pinky swore that they won't look in your home.......yeah right

A plain white van moving through traffic on a busy thoroughfare looks like a delivery vehicle, making a run to a local business.

It could be any plain white van in any American city.

But there are two men sitting in the back of the van operating X-ray machines. As their panel van moves in and out of traffic, the men use the X-ray machines to scan passing vehicles, peering behind the walls of the adjoining trucks to discover if the targets are carrying weapons, drugs or illegal immigrants.

This scenario isn't from a spy movie, it's happening every day in the United States.

The Department of Homeland Security, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service and even local law enforcement agencies are buying and deploying mobile X-ray vans.

CRA petitions FDA for high fructose corn syrup name change

http://www.foodnavigator-usa.com/Financial-Industry/CRA-petitions-FDA-for-high-fructose-corn-syrup-name-change/?c=TJ6pZf%2BpD7ccYz9WI0MGPw%3D%3D&utm_source=newsletter_daily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Newsletter%2BDaily

Lol You didn't think they were just going to go away did you.

The Corn Refiners Association has petitioned the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) asking it to allow the term ‘corn sugar’ as an alternative label declaration for high fructose corn syrup (HFCS).

HFCS has suffered from a spate of bad publicity in recent years, and food and beverage manufacturers have been increasingly switching it out of their products in preference for beet or cane sugar (sucrose).

The Corn Refiners Association (CRA) has said that the reason it filed a petition with the FDA was to be clear with consumers about what HFCS is: A sugar made from corn. The CRA – a trade association that represents the corn refining industry in the United States – has repeatedly stressed that HFCS is not high in fructose, even though that is what the name may suggest. In fact it contains proportions of fructose and glucose that are similar to sucrose.

a “gesture of friendship,”

http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documents/bizarre/doctor-branded-womans-uterus-after-surgery

Another fine example for the lack of common sense by the overly educated, but then what else can you expect when $800,000. that the taxpayer provides is spent on a dick washing study in Africa rather than on teaching the practice of professional ethics.

After performing a hysterectomy last year, a California gynecologist used a cauterizing tool to brand his patient’s name on her removed uterus, an unorthodox move that the doctor calls a “friendly gesture,” but which the woman terms “despicable conduct” in a medical negligence lawsuit.

In a Superior Court lawsuit filed earlier this month, Ingrid Paulicivic, a 47-year-old hairdresser, charges that Dr. Red Alinsod used an “electrocautery device to carve and burn” the word “Ingrid” on her uterus, which was removed during a June 2009 operation at his Orange County office.

Paulicivic alleges that the branding was done for “no medically necessary purpose or reason” and that she somehow suffered burns on her legs while the uterus was being marked, according to her complaint.

He claimed that he “felt comfortable putting her name on the uterus” since Paulicivic, pictured above, was a “good friend.”

Though Alinsod referred to the branding as a “gesture of friendship,” Mullins said that his client “had never met him prior to the first consult,” adding that she was actually an acquaintance of a receptionist who works in the doctor’s Laguna Beach office.

IMF fears 'social explosion' from world jobs crisis

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/financetopics/financialcrisis/8000561/IMF-fears-social-explosion-from-world-jobs-crisis.html

Oh looky there, another eye opening wisdom spewed from another extension of the world government's money sucking leech.
The one that won't stop until we're bled out.

America and Europe face the worst jobs crisis since the 1930s and risk "an explosion of social unrest" unless they tread carefully, the International Monetary Fund has warned

"The labour market is in dire straits. The Great Recession has left behind a waste land of unemployment," said Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the IMF's chief, at an Oslo jobs summit with the International Labour Federation (ILO).

$800,000 blown on African genital washing study

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/75198

And you really want to know what the best part of this is?
The interest that we're going to have to pay on the money so that they can study this kind of bullshit. That's never ending interest mind you on the constant roll over of the debt this country has.
AIDS doesn't come from a dirty dick, it's a virus that enters the blood stream through bodily fluids.
So really what is the point of this waste of money?
The prime reason for this study, is to see if the partner of the dick washer will accept this practice from him after sex.
Just because they can?
The kicker to all of this is that, they want more money for a later study to see if this teaching has any effect at all on the prevention of AIDS.
The funding for this study came from the Economic stimulus package, and Obama has stated that he wants to spend more for research to further help out the economy and to create jobs.
Not only is this outsourced, but who the hell would actually want this type of employment and just how much would it cost us to train them to do it?
How disgusted are you now America,
That Congress actually approved this kind of crap!

The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), a division of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), spent $823,200 of economic stimulus funds in 2009 on a study by a UCLA research team to teach uncircumcised African men how to wash their genitals after having sex.

The genitalia-washing program is part of a larger $12-million UCLA study examining how to better encourage Africans to undergo voluntary HIV testing and counseling – however, only the penis-washing study received money from the 2009 economic stimulus law. The washing portion of the study is set to end in 2011.

Survivors: Children orphaned after parents killed in wreck

http://www.postandcourier.com/news/2010/sep/09/7-year-old-boy-rescued-sister-tried-pull-brother-v/

If you can spare a dime, these little kids could sure use it.
They could also use your prayers, compassion, and love.
They've had so much heartache already, that it just doesn't seem right that they should have to bare the added burden of such extreme financial worries, at such a young age. They need help to shoulder it.
Please lend a hand

Kamari White was the first to know his parents were dead.

'We will do what we have to do to take care of these kids,' said Shanda Squire, holding her 6-year-old niece Ionia White on Wednesday. Ionia and her brothers, Daquan Gleason and Kamari White, survived the car crash that killed their parents. The children are living with relatives, who also must find money for funeral expenses. Michael and Iesha White did not have insurance.

Michael White, 36, and Iesha White, 28, died from trauma caused by the wreck Sunday in Berkeley County.

To help
Make donations to the White Memorial Fund at any Farmers & Merchants Bank branch to help pay for funeral costs. Leftover funds will benefit the children.

The 7-year-old was in the back seat of the family's 2002 Isuzu Rodeo on Sunday night when the vehicle skidded on its side and crashed violently into a utility pole on S.C. Highway 45 in rural Berkeley County. The family said the sport utility vehicle swerved to avoid an oncoming car.

Kamari crawled through the shattered glass and out the back window, but then he heard his 6-year-old sister, Ionia White, calling for him.

'He went back in not only to save his sister — he tried to save all of them,' maternal grandmother Sharon Gleason said.

The second-grader braved live power lines and re-entered the vehicle

"Homeless meters" going up in Downtown Orlando

http://wdbo.com/localnews/2010/09/homeless-meters-going-up-in-do.html?cxntlid=cmg_cntnt_rss

Interesting idea, but I don't think the city should be allowed to collect it.
I'd be more inclined to donate to it if I knew a Homeless Shelter was actually reaping the benefits of it rather than the city. I can't help but wonder why it would cost ten thousand dollars for a start up cost.

City leaders in Orlando are hoping people who want to help out the homeless will throw their change into old parking meters, instead of a panhandler's cup.

The city is making plans to install 15 "homeless meters" around downtown Orlando, where people can donate change to help the homeless without having to worry about the money going to drugs or alcohol.

Thomas Chatmon, executive director of the Downtown Development Board, told WDBO the meters give people an alternative to the sometimes aggressive panhandlers in the city's core.

County Sues Farmer, Cites Too Many Crops

http://www.wsbtv.com/news/24979774/detail.html

Sued, for excessive veggies by the county.
This is either how controlled we've all become, or how badly in debt our States, Cities and Counties have become.
Mr. Miller has been raising veggies in the same manner for 15 years and now it has become a major issue.

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- DeKalb County is suing a local farmer for growing too many vegetables, but he said he will fight the charges in the ongoing battle neighbors call “Cabbagegate.”

Fig trees, broccoli and cabbages are among the many greens that line the soil on Steve Miller’s more than two acres in Clarkston, who said he has spent fifteen years growing crops to give away and sell at local farmers markets.

Random Pat-Downs Turn PATCO Into Police State

http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local-beat/Random-Pat-Downs-Turn-PATCO-Into-Police-State-102443699.html

Just because they can and for the compensation of all of that time and expense.....a crack pipe.

Commuters' clothing, pockets, bags and vehicles to be randomly searched

Commuters who ride PATCO trains between southern New Jersey and Philadelphia should expect random searches of their clothing, pockets, bags and vehicles on their morning trip to work.

Twelve Transportation Security Administration screeners, armed with an explosive-sniffing K-9, checked 663 commuter bags randomly selected from the morning rush at the Lindenwold station Tuesday.

The chief says that out of the 663 bags searched between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m., a crack pipe was the only item confiscated.

“We can conduct any kind of search we want," said McClintock. "We could ask TSA to bring wands or X-ray machines like they have in airports, though we don't think that's appropriate for PATCO riders at this time."

Revealed: After Baghdad massacre, Blackwater split into 30 shell companies

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2010/09/revealed-blackwater-formed-30-shell-companies-suck-taxpayer-money/

Why do we need a private company to load missiles? What exactly is there left for military enlistees to do anymore, if jobs like that are outsourced to private companies?
And since when can't the CIA provide their own in house security?

The security company Blackwater Worldwide formed a network of 30 shell companies and subsidiaries to try to get millions of dollars in government business after the company faced strong criticism for reckless conduct in Iraq, The New York Times reported Friday.

The newspaper said that it was unclear how many of the created companies got American contracts but that at least three of them obtained work with the U.S. militaryand the CIA.

But recently the company was awarded a $100 million contract to provide security for the agency in Afghanistan, prompting criticism from some in Congress. CIA Director Leon Panetta said that the CIA had no choice but to hire the company because it underbid others by $26 million and that a CIA review concluded that the contractor had cleaned up its act.

Last year, Panetta canceled a contract with Xe that allowed the company's operatives to load missiles on Predator drones in Pakistan, and shifted the work to government personnel

Pentagon declined to investigate hundreds of purchases of child pornography

http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_upshot/20100903/us_yblog_upshot/pentagon-declined-to-investigate-hundreds-of-purchases-of-child-pornography

Not enough resources to prosecute?
We shit up money to find Al Qaeda anywhere on this planet, but there isn't enough money to investigate and prosecute pedophiles. But hey how convenient is it that we can still find the money to pay them enormous wages to work for the government.
And what's up with the judge's assessment of a one time subscriber does not a kiddie porn creep make? What kind of thinking is that? How many times does it take to warrant an eyebrow raise from that judge?

A 2006 Immigration and Customs Enforcement investigation into the purchase of child pornography online turned up more than 250 civilian and military employees of the Defense Department -- including some with the highest available security clearance -- who used credit cards or PayPal to purchase images of children in sexual situations. But the Pentagon investigated only a handful of the cases, Defense Department records show.

The cases turned up during a 2006 ICE inquiry, called Project Flicker, which targeted overseas processing of child-porn payments. As part of the probe, ICE investigators gained access to the names and credit card information of more than 5,000 Americans who had subscribed to websites offering images of child pornography. Many of those individuals provided military email addresses or physical addresses with Army or fleet ZIP codes when they purchased the subscriptions.

In a related inquiry, the Pentagon's Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS) cross-checked the ICE list against military databases to come up with a list of Defense employees and contractors who appeared to be guilty of purchasing child pornography. The names included staffers for the secretary of defense, contractors for the ultra-secretive National Security Agency, and a program manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. But the DCIS opened investigations into only 20 percent of the individuals identified, and succeeded in prosecuting just a handful.

A source familiar with the Project Flicker investigations -- who requested anonymity because public disclosure could jeopardize this person's job -- confirmed that departmental resources, and priorities, were decisive factors in letting inquiries lapse.

DCIS is primarily tasked with rooting out contractor fraud and investigating security breaches; its 400 staffers were already plenty busy before Project Flicker dropped 264 more names onto their caseloads. And child pornography investigations are difficult to prosecute. Many judges wouldn't issue search warrants based on years-old evidence saying the targets subscribed to a kiddie porn website once.

"We were stuck in a situation where we had some great information, but didn't have the resources to run with it," the source told The Upshot. Many of the investigative reports obtained by The Upshot end with a similar citation of scarce resources:

American cameraman faces extradition

http://www.presstv.ir/detail/140224.html

Kurt Sonnenfeld worked for FEMA as a film maker. He was in New York during 9/11 under the employ of FEMA. He was there to shoot some film for FEMA on the disaster drill that they had scheduled for that week,
Yeah, how convenient, I know.
It doesn't take a brain surgeon to understand, that what the news and the government are touting, is not what your camera is recording and knowing that truth is going to get you killed.
Barry Jennings is a perfect example of that.
By the way, listen very close, this is building 7 they are talking about, explosions and all.
Barry is no longer with us. He conveniently offed himself, or so they would have us believe after disclosing an entirely different version of what happened on 9/11 in tower 7 than the government wanted you to believe.
Barry was not supposed to survive the explosions for the simple fact of reasoning that "Dead men tell no tales" and thereby pose no threat in the exposure of what really happened.
A planned demolition.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LO5V2CJpzI
Kurt Sonnenfeld is now in Barry's position and he knows it. Poor Barry didn't until it was to late. I believe Kurt's camera caught that planned demolition and probably a whole lot more that couldn't be explained according to the official story.

An American cameraman who says September 11 was a lie is facing extradition from Argentina to the United States on alleged murder charges.

Kurt Sonnenfeld, a man who was provided provisory refugee status seven years ago, is now wanted by the US government on murder charges

He is the only cameraman that filmed crucial images of Ground Zero in New York after the Twin Towers collapsed.

Sonnenfeld, who lives in Buenos Aires with his Argentine family, says the footage proves that 9/11 was a lie. He still has the 22-hour footage that US authorities want.

The International Center for 9/11 Studies has secured NIST's 9/11 information

http://911blogger.com/news/2010-08-31/international-center-911-studies-secures-release-thousands-photos-and-videos-nist

It's time my friends, to take a look at exactly what the National Institute of Standards and Technology chose to disregard as evidence for the production of their report.
There is so much to look at, that it's a job we must all do together, so that "WE" "The People" can finally ascertain for ourselves as to what really happened on that day, instead of the bullshit that the Main Stream Media spoon fed us.
Most have never gone back and looked at the footage again, after allowing the shock to subside. The mind could not take in the discrepancies that when now viewed are so obvious, in that fragile of a state. The emotional wound was to big to allow a logical assessment of what the mind was really seeing.
It's time to take the logical look.
We owe it to ourselves.
9/11 has changed all of our lives
And I'd be hard pressed myself, to say it's been for the better

The International Center for 9/11 Studies has secured the release of hundreds of hours of video footage and tens of thousands of photographs used by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for its investigation of the collapse of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7. This material is being released to the Center under the Freedom of Information Act, in response to a lawsuit the Center filed against NIST.

The Center filed a FOIA Request with NIST on January 26, 2009, seeking production of “all of the photographs and videos collected, reviewed, cited or in any other way used by NIST during its investigation of the World Trade Center building collapses.” Following several unsuccessful attempts to get NIST to even acknowledge receipt of the Request, the Center was forced to file a lawsuit on May 28, 2009. Shortly after the lawsuit was filed, the Request was assigned a reference number, and NIST began periodically releasing batches of responsive records. To date, the Center has received over 300 DVDs and several external hard disk drives that contain responsive records - more than 3 terabytes of data so far – and NIST has indicated that additional records will be released in the future.

We are currently looking at the best ways to distribute these materials to interested researchers and journalists around the world. It has taken NIST more than 8 months so far to produce a partial archive of photographs and videos in their possession, but we hope to be more efficient in our efforts. Because of the huge volume of data, we are working on a wiki-style website to facilitate review and discussion of any interesting items that are discovered by researchers.

Justin Keogh, our Chief Technical Officer, is preparing the website and materials for release. The first batch of materials we are releasing is a group of video clips sent to us on an external hard disk drive labeled “NIST WTC Investigation Cumulus Video Clips.” We believe NIST entered these clips into a searchable database called the Cumulus database, and used them as the basis for the investigation and reports. Researchers may be interested to see which video clips NIST determined were important to its investigation, and compare these clips to the raw footage we release at a later date. Justin will be posting more details about the data release in the next week or two

BP Says Limits on Drilling Imperil Oil Spill Payouts

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/09/03/business/03bp.html?_r=1&emc=na

Oh poor BP. Maybe they should have saved some of that bonus money they gave out and pay their bills.
You know like save for a rainy day.
Coz when it rains it pours.
BP looks to be more like blackmailing Congress than warning them.
If we can't play, we won't pay.

BP is warning Congress that if lawmakers pass legislation that bars the company from getting new offshore drilling permits, it may not have the money to pay for all the damages caused by its oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

The company says a ban would also imperil the ambitious Gulf Coast restoration efforts that officials want the company to voluntarily support.
