Texas may call out the National Guard in the hunt for a seven-inch radioactive rod used in drilling natural-gas wells, lost this week by Halliburton Co. (HAL) somewhere in a 130-mile swath of the state’s western oil fields.
The Texas Department of State Health Services said yesterday it sought help from an Austin-based National Guard unit that has equipment to locate the radioactive item, which can pose a health risk if touched or held for several days.
Halliburton lost the unit on Sept. 11, according to a report yesterday by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Pickup trucks with detection gear retraced the route of a vehicle that carried the radioactive rod before it was lost. The trucks drove at 10 miles an hour between Pecos, where the device was used on a well, and Odessa without finding the unit, the report said.
“It’s not something that produces radiation in an extremely dangerous form,” Chris Van Deusen, a spokesman for the

Crew Argued Over Drilling Plan Before Rig Explosion

An over whelming sense of fear, is still the predominant taste in my mouth after having read that there was a disagreement upon the proper procedure for shutting down the well.
Somewhere in my mind there was a certain sense of security, (that now is no longer there), that proper procedures were in place for everything built, that if not followed could cause catastrophic calamity to either the environment or that of man kind itself. I now, no longer hold that sense of security, and I'm having an exceptionally hard time trying not to envision this same scenario occurring over the proper procedures of constructing a nuclear power plant.
BP's employee argued it wasn't proper procedure, the dude ought to know it's his job
And the smell of caution is already there over the gas levels
And you know you jerry rigged the fail safe
Who decided to go ahead and shoot those odds?
To take nothing else into concern but completion of the job?
A corporate suit did.
Talk about a head game...this is the big one.
What else has been compromised?
For Profit
In his sworn statement, he described the meeting as including ranking personnel from BP, Transocean and Halliburton Co., a contractor that dealt with cementing the well.
According to Mr. Williams's account, Transocean's rig manager, Jimmy Wayne Harrell, was discussing the plans for the next few hours' work, including taking out the drilling mud and running a test to make sure gas wasn't seeping into the well. Mr. Harrell explained in the meeting that he had received the plans from BP.
Then, according to Mr. Williams's statement, the top-ranked BP employee assigned to the rig, Donald Vidrine, disagreed and said "that was not the correct procedure."

Carlyle, Kissinger,SAIC, and Halliburton: a 9/11 convergence
http://www.infowars.com/carlyle-kissinger-saic-and-halliburton-a-911-convergence/
coincidence....NO..... Collision.....of course
Careful investigation leads one to notice that a number of intriguing groups of people and organizations converged on the events of September 11th, 2001. An example is the group of men who were members of Cornell University’s Quill & Dagger society. This included Paul Wolfowitz, National Security Advisors Sandy Berger and Stephen Hadley, Marsh & McLennan executive Stephen Friedman, and the founder of Kroll Associates, Jules Kroll. Another interconnected group of organizations is linked to these Cornell comrades, and is even more interesting in terms of its members being integral to the events of 9/11, and having benefited from those events.
After the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center (WTC), a company called Stratesec (or Securacom) was responsible for the overall integration of the new security system designed by Kroll Asoociates. Stratesec had a small board of directors that included retired Air Force General James Abrahamson, Marvin Bush (the brother of George W. Bush) and Wirt Walker III, a cousin of the Bush brothers. Other directors included Charles Archer, former Assistant Director in charge of the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services Division, and Yousef Saud Al Sabah, a member of the Kuwaiti royal family.[1]
