William Barr Testifies on Mueller Report Before Senate Judiciary Committee
Attorney General William Barr testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on the report released by Special Counsel Robert Mueller on his investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election. After opening statements from the committee’s leaders and the attorney general, Mr. Barr responded to questions from lawmakers on how his office handled the release of the Mueller report and the other investigations that resulted from Mr. Mueller’s initial investigation. At the end of the hearing, Committee Chair Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said he would be contacting Mr. Mueller to discuss reports the special counsel disagreed with Mr. Barr’s handling of the investigation’s release.
