Vice President Mike Pence wants to get to the bottom of how the Russia investigation started and whether or not he was spied on during it — and he thinks the American people deserve answers too.
Speaking with Fox News on Friday, he echoed President Donald Trump’s call for a probe into the origins of the special counsel’s investigation into alleged collusion between the 2016 Trump campaign and the Russian government and argued the public “has a right” to such information.
“We’ve got to get to the bottom of how all this started. The American people have a right to know how this investigation even began. And as the attorney general said when he testified before Congress, there was spying. We need to understand why there was [and] whether there was a sufficient predicate.”
