This will become a phenomena like you have never seen before
A large part of the elderly live on a fixed income
Gas prices will force them to make a choice on whether to eat
or fill their prescription, because they will not be able to do both.
One must ask themselves now truly for the first time the question
What exactly does quality of life mean.
One of the comments talks of elderly parent were the mother is a quad on a vent
And the father has Alzheimer's and cancer.
Just exactly how great is their quality of life?
If I lived under either condition it would be my desire to allow my life to expire.
But their own childs reaction was that they had a great quality of life.
I myself don't see it and would have to ask where, other than in the child's mind because she is still able to hold on to her parents because she herself is not ready to let them go.
America now needs to grow up and allow others if they have what they themselves consider a debilitated quality of life where life is only sustained because a physician or a hospital is keeping them a live by the aid of machinery or drugs, the opportunity to pass on with dignity and peace.
This gentleman loved his wife a great deal to be able to grant her wish for her.
Consider he to after a life of love together he himself suffered a great deal in having to watch her suffer day after day and not to be able to alleviate her pain. He made the choice he did because he loved her and not just to be rid of her. In all actuality I'm sure she asked him to do it for her.
