Do you think kindness a weakness my Heart
For I find it a strength as I walk through my day
A kiss of kind can sustain the saddest heart
And yet I lose nothing when I give of it's pay
But only add to it's over flowing coffers
Enabling me to give only that much more away

I am I a fool to save a fallen baby sparrow
To place it safe back in the nest till it's day
When it's wings will carry it's own
Safe and not the cats choice meal of the day
Or to leave a saucer and a morsel of fish
That the cat shall stay sated and sleep for the day

Am I a fool to wipe the tears of an old one
To worry that they would have sup for the day
To hold their hand is now seen as mindless
Are they are to be thought of as just throw away
Bodies to old and now seen as broken
My kindness would be a waste on them you say

If kindness is a weakness then deem me as such
For my heart is touched with kind madness
And it's my joy to live in
No need for the cure to be found
For I shall live out this affliction till the end of my days
Surly long from the strength that it grows
