Along the Ashley river
Were all the gardens grow
Magnolia is something special
Where the symphony holds a show

It's a picnic in the park
On a Sunday afternoon
I thought about you going
And that thought just made me swoon

No one I know will do
And it's not the cost you see
But no one else would sit through it
Or even go with me

Some how I know you would
If not just to be with me
Because I think you know what makes love good
Sometimes a compromise to please

And I would love it if you did
Lie in the slendor of the breeze
Your head in my lap to tease
Listening to the most beautiful melodies

A little fried chicken for your fare
A little wine with your song
A little kiss because love is so good
A little time with you alone

A perfect peaceful Sunday
This is what I long
To know that love will one day
Think this is not wrong
