Nationwide child porn investigation leads to Oregon couple's arrest, court documents say

And his reason for doing it was
"Freeman said he was in a "bad place" when he did it, Inman wrote in court documents"

(CBS) SALEM, Ore. - A Salem couple appeared in court Wednesday facing accusations that they took pictures and recorded videos of themselves performing sex acts on a young girl, CBS affiliate KPIC reports.

Federal agents arrested Michelle and Michael Freeman Tuesday after the couple called local police to turn themselves in, according to court documents.

I usually hack on Homeland Security but in this incidence regarding this department I have credit where credit is due.
They did a great job.
Not only was a 9 year old involved but a 6 year old was as well

The child exploitation-fighting unit of Homeland Security Investigations worked on the case and said Michelle produced child pornography videos featuring herself and her husband engaging in sexual contact with a 9-year-old girl.

Washington State Joins the Movement for Public Banking

http://www.yesmagazine.org/new-economy/washington-state-joins-movement-for-public-banking

Oh look, common sense seems to be catching on.
Here's hoping it spreads like wildfire.
It's the only sane thing left to do to save "our" collective and individual selves.
Cut out the middle man

Bills were introduced on January 18 in both the House and Senate of the Washington State Legislature that add Washington to the growing number of states now actively moving to create public banking facilities.

The bills, House Bill 1320 and Senate Bill 5238, propose creation of a Washington Investment Trust (WIT) to “promote agriculture, education, community development, economic development, housing, and industry” by using “the resources of the people of Washington State within the state.”

Currently, all the state’s funds are deposited with Bank of America. HB 1320 proposes that, in the future, “all state funds be deposited in the Washington Investment Trust and be guaranteed by the state and used to promote the common good and public benefit of all the people and their businesses within [the] state.”

The legislation is similar to that now being studied or proposed in states including Illinois, Virginia, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Maryland, Florida, Michigan, Oregon, California and others.

Bradbury would create 'Bank of Oregon' if he were governor

http://www.oregonlive.com/politics/index.ssf/2010/01/bradbury_would_create_bank_of.html

It maakes sense to me. The federal government cares about none of us on a state or local level.
God helps those that helps themselves.
It's time to become more independant and create our own destiny.
Can "WE" do it? Yes I believe "WE" can.

The state of Oregon should have its own bank so taxpayer dollars could help fund local businesses instead of boosting the profits of big multinational banks, says Bill Bradbury, Democratic candidate for governor and former secretary of state.

Bradbury announced his proposal today in Portland as part of his plan to find jobs for more Oregonians. The state bank, modeled on one in North Dakota, would form the cornerstone of his jobs proposal, he said.

"It's time to make Oregon's money work for Oregonians," Bradbury said. Small businesses are hurting because banks are squeezing off credit necessary for growth
