What way the hard light plays
To take away your smile
It's more cool to put your shades on
And watch the children for awhile

Man's gonna do what mans gonna do
Don't let it take away the natural bling
Of what you can find in a child's smile
And the way it can make your heart just sing

The eyes of natural wonder
Of soap bubbles natural share
The tinkle of little laughter
When magic fills the air

Little eyes of diamond gleams
Show prisms of the soul
A wished for kiss for all children
That their eyes could all just glow

And never know eyes of sorrow
That tomorrow man will bring
Because he forgets to remember the children
And takes away what makes them sing
