If you turn the clock back round
Back to the fifties say
When mom's stayed home
And taught their own children how to play
And it took a little more time to make their supper
Rather than two minutes in the microwave
Time for talks and evening walks
A closer family outlook
For a better way of life
What's wrong with devotion to your family
That's what families are for
Not to farm them out
And pay someone else to do your chores
That's what moms are for
Kids don't need a designer label
They need decent food on the table
And to help with homework a whole lot more
Super mom your blowing it
Your children need you so much more
There would be less need for Ritalin
And manners would be less a chore
If you could just comprehend
Your children are the job you signed up for
