Most people don't know about Annie
She was institutionalized at a young age with her brother
They were the only children in the institution
Annie's brother Jimmy had a tubercular hip
It caused him a great amount of pain
Annie only had cataracts
Annie was devoted to taking care of Jimmy
She tended him and cleaned up his messes
Because Jimmy was a prankster when he was feeling good
And the other other people that were there didn't appreciate it much
They were always trying to get Jimmy thrown out
Annie knew she couldn't let that happen because they had nowhere else to go
And Jimmy's pain was growing daily
Annie was an adult by the age of nine and lived in the fear of insecurity
Of what would happen to Jimmy if they were homeless
That was their childhood until Jimmy died
